Smart Blades

The Smart Blade grate system consists of single interlocking grate elements to be put on frames, which are clamped on grate support beams and fastened by inserted rods. Such uncomplicated system permits simple flexible maintenance. Smart Blades provide horizontal air jets by Coanda effect for uniform aeration of the entire grate surface.

The air flows at high velocity in transport direction through the slots between the Smart Blades, thereby cools the top and bottom side of the Smart Blades and then the clinker above. In case of heat input the Smart Blade grate system can expand in all directions.
